Well Protected

Striking national differences affect many aspects of life in a foreign country -  things don't always work the way we're used to. Insurance is one of these: while policies sound alike, you may not actually be getting the same type or level of cover that you'd have expected and you may end up not being protected in quite the way you thought

Understand the small print

It's important to be confident that your insurer (or broker) understands you and your insurance needs; that you are speaking the same language. That's why AngloINFO provides a comprehensive list of English-speaking insurers in The AngloFILE directory of local English-speaking businesses and services.

Some things typically have to be insured by law - such as third-party liability for driving cars - while others may just be a very good idea. For instance, you can find out about your vehicle insurance with the INFOrmation Page Insuring a Vehicle in Spain and home insurance with Household Insurance in Spain

Remember: it's your responsibility to make sure you have all the insurance the law demands of you, and your peace of mind will be much greater if you know exactly what is covered and to what extent.
